Private therapy that suits you

Types of therapy

Our private therapists are trained to support individuals, couples and families. Many of our therapists are trained in a number of different therapies and presentations and often use a “formulation-driven” approach. This is where we utilise a combination of therapies that we believe will best suit your needs.

One-to-One Therapy

One-to-one therapy aims to support you in exploring your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a containing and confidential space. It is not about judgment, but about helping you gain understanding, develop strategies, and make meaningful changes in your life.

Couple’s Counselling

Couples counselling aims to support couples in improving their communication and making meaningful changes to their relationship. It is not about blaming one person or the other, but finding a joint understanding which helps you move forward together.

Family Therapy

Family therapy aims to support families in improving their communication and making positive changes to their relationships. It is not about blaming individuals, but about building understanding and working together to move forward as a family.

What and who we see

We are a community of private clinicians specialising in a wide range of difficulties. Our goal is to connect you with the clinician best suited to your needs, ensuring personalised and effective support.

  • Persistent worry, panic, or fear can make everyday situations feel overwhelming. Therapy provides tools to understand anxiety and regain a sense of calm and control.

  • Depression can affect mood, motivation, and day-to-day functioning, leaving people feeling stuck or hopeless. Therapy helps explore underlying causes, build coping strategies, and support recovery.

  • Following trauma, people may experience flashbacks, nightmares, or avoid reminders of what happened. Therapy offers a safe way to process these experiences and move towards healing.

  • OCD involves intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviours that can feel difficult to control. Treatment helps break the cycle and supports individuals in regaining freedom in daily life.

  • Eating disorders affect both physical health and emotional wellbeing, often tied to body image or self-worth. Therapy supports recovery by addressing underlying issues and building a healthier relationship with food and self.

  • Social Anxiety Disorder involves an intense fear of being judged, embarrassed, or rejected in social situations. Therapy, especially CBT, helps by challenging negative thoughts, building confidence, and gradually facing feared situations to reduce anxiety over time.

  • Relationship anxiety involves persistent worry, doubt, or fear about one’s relationship or partner’s feelings. Therapy helps by exploring the roots of these fears, improving communication, and building trust and self-confidence to create more secure, balanced connections.

  • Problems with alcohol or drugs can impact health, relationships, and well-being. Therapy provides a supportive environment to explore underlying causes and develop healthier coping strategies.

  • Bipolar disorder involves cycles of low mood and high energy or mood states. With the right support, people can learn to manage these changes and live fulfilling lives.

  • Issues around sexuality can involve confusion, shame, or anxiety about sexual orientation, identity, or expression. Therapy offers a safe, non-judgemental space to explore these feelings, build self-acceptance, and develop a more positive and authentic sense of self.

  • Brain injury can affect thinking, memory, emotions, and behaviour, often leading to frustration or changes in identity. Therapy helps individuals and families understand these changes, develop coping strategies, and support emotional adjustment and recovery.

  • Chronic illness can bring ongoing physical challenges, emotional strain, and lifestyle changes. Therapy helps by supporting adjustment, managing stress, and promoting coping strategies to improve wellbeing and quality of life.

Difficulties we see

Who we see

  • We support children experiencing emotional, behavioural, or developmental difficulties. Therapy helps them understand and express feelings, build coping skills, and thrive at home and school.

  • We help young people navigate challenges such as anxiety, low mood, self-esteem issues, and life changes. Therapy offers a safe space to explore emotions, build resilience, and develop healthy ways of coping.

  • We work with adults experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. Therapy can support understanding patterns, managing stress, and improving wellbeing and relationships.

  • We offer compassionate support for older adults facing life transitions, loss, or health-related changes. Therapy focuses on enhancing emotional wellbeing, independence, and quality of life.

  • We help couples improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen connection. Therapy provides a supportive space to understand patterns and work towards healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

  • We work with families to improve relationships, manage conflict, and navigate challenges together. Therapy helps enhance understanding, communication, and support within the family system.

Neurodevelopmental and neurological disorders

Our specialist clinicians provide assessment and support for children, young people, adults, and older adults experiencing a wide range of neurodevelopmental and neurological conditions.

  • Autism affects how a person communicates, interacts, and experiences the world. Support focuses on recognising strengths, understanding challenges, and helping individuals thrive.

  • ADHD can make it harder to concentrate, manage energy, and control impulses. Assessment and support help you build skills to manage these difficulties and unlock your potential.

  • Some individuals develop more slowly in areas such as learning, language, or daily living. Early assessment and tailored support can make a big difference to your progress and confidence.

  • Difficulties with speech, language, or social communication can affect learning and relationships. Therapy helps your express yourself and connect more effectively with others.

  • After a brain injury or stroke, children and adults may experience changes in memory, thinking, mood, or movement. Specialist rehabilitation and therapy can support recovery, adjustment, and a return to daily activities.

Our Approaches

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a structured approach that helps you manage difficulties by exploring the links between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. While often used for anxiety and depression, CBT can also be helpful for a wide range of mental and physical health concerns. The focus is on developing practical strategies to understand and change patterns that contribute to emotional distress, supporting you to feel more in control.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps you develop the skills to accept what is beyond your control while taking meaningful steps toward the life you want to live. By combining techniques such as mindfulness with a focus on personal values, ACT supports you in handling difficult thoughts and feelings more effectively and making choices that align with what truly matters to you.

  • Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) is designed to help you develop greater compassion for yourself and others. It can be especially helpful if you struggle with self-criticism or find it difficult to experience kindness and warmth, supporting you to build more supportive and caring ways of relating.

  • Psychodynamic (or psychoanalytic) therapy focuses on exploring how early life experiences and unconscious patterns influence your current thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. By increasing awareness of these underlying processes, this approach helps you gain deeper understanding of yourself and create lasting change in how you relate to others and manage difficulties.

  • Narrative Therapy helps people look at their life as a story, recognising that problems are just one part of it—not the whole story. Together with the therapist, you explore how past experiences and beliefs may have shaped the way you see yourself. Therapy then focuses on building new, more empowering stories that highlight your strengths, values, and hopes for the future.
