Dr Stagaki has worked across NHS and private healthcare services, supporting people across the lifespan experiencing a wide range of psychological and emotional difficulties.

Her approach to therapy is integrative, relational, and collaborative, with a focus on understanding each person within the context of their life experiences, relationships, and emotional patterns. She draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-focused psychotherapy.

Dr Stagaki is also a certified facilitator in the BodyMind Approach, integrating body-based methods to support individuals experiencing persistent physical symptoms and the connection between physical and emotional wellbeing.

Her particular clinical interests include trauma, relational difficulties, medically unexplained symptoms, physical health conditions, life transitions, and the psychological experience of migration and living between cultures. She also works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, ADHD, autism, grief, and difficulties with emotional regulation.

Dr Stagaki aims to offer a safe, compassionate space where people can explore their experiences with curiosity and without judgement. Her work focuses not only on reducing symptoms, but also on helping individuals develop deeper understanding, emotional resilience, and a more compassionate relationship with themselves.

About Chaper One Psychology

Flexible

We understand that life can be busy, and committing to the same time each week isn’t always realistic. That’s why we aim to be as flexible as possible, offering appointments at a pace that works for you—whether weekly, fortnightly, or something different.

The International Team 🌍

We are comprised of clinicians from all over the world with diverse backgrounds and experiences. This helps us match you with the therapist who’s the best fit for your needs, so you feel comfortable and supported from the start.

Client-centred

At Chapter One Psychology, we don’t believe therapy should be one-size-fits-all. Our aim is to help you reach your goals as effectively as possible, without keeping you in therapy longer than you need. Some people feel ready after just a couple of sessions, while others prefer longer-term support—and we’re happy to provide whichever feels right for you.

Tailored to You

Our team is skilled in a wide range of therapies, which means we can shape our approach around your unique needs. This ensures your therapy is personalised and focused on helping you achieve the changes that matter most to you.

NHS Trained Professionals

Every member of our team has trained within the NHS, bringing with them valuable experience and the latest knowledge of evidence-based approaches—so you can feel confident you’re receiving safe, effective care.

Our Ethos

At the heart of our practice is the belief that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change. We recognise that progress begins when individuals feel truly seen, heard, and understood. By creating a compassionate and collaborative space, we build trust and partnership with every client. It is within this relationship — between therapist and client in the room — that healing, growth, and resilience can flourish.

Embeded in evidence

Our practice is grounded in psychological research and guided by evidence-based approaches. Every assessment, formulation, and intervention we offer is informed by evidence that is shown to make a real difference. By combining clinical expertise with scientific evidence, we ensure that the care we provide is not only compassionate but also effective, reliable, and tailored to your needs.
